Call for Murray Connect Board Members

Murray Connect is seeking three skilled and passionate board members to join our team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the Barham, Koondrook and cross border community by guiding innovative initiatives in trade, tourism, industry, and commerce.

We’re seeking individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Strategy and Policy Development – the Ability to think strategically and identify long-term opportunities and challenges for the region and Experience developing strategies to support regional growth and sustainability. Strong understanding of Business Governance and best practices in governance with Commitment to fostering continual improvement within the organisation.

Financial capabilities to analyse financial statements, oversee budgets, and contribute to strategic financial planning with experience with funding arrangements, grants, and accountability. Diversity in an appreciation for diverse perspectives, skills, and experiences, and the ability to leverage them for community benefit.

Also, desirable Business Finance and Capital Investment experience, evaluating capital projects, investments, and business opportunities and Executive Management with expertise in leadership and human resource management at an executive level.

Also, desirable an understanding of Risk Management and the Ability to identify, evaluate, and oversee organisational risks and Legal Compliance with Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks and governance standards.

The candidate we would seek to have personal attributes of integrity, effective communication, a critical thinking approach to challenges with creativity and insight, collaboration, leadership in the ability to inspire, influence, and guide others toward shared goals and commitment in dedicating time and energy to advancing the organisation’s mission.

  • Contribute your expertise to impactful community projects.
  • Collaborate with a diverse, committed group of leaders.
  • Seek to develop or have good local knowledge and relationships.
